Welcome to the website of pianist, composer and conductor Adam Swayne

A versatile and eclectic musician, Adam studied at the University of Manchester and the Royal Northern College of Music before completing his doctorate as a Fulbright Scholar in the U.S.A. His principal teachers were Ursula Oppens, John Gough and John Casken.

Through regular concert appearances, commissions for new pieces, pioneering research and educational work, he continues to create and present new and challenging music for all kinds of people.

Adam Swayne is Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Chichester, and Regional Coordinator for the UCMA - a pioneering experience in music education for children aged 8-18 throughout West Sussex.
